A reader's letter criticising postal deliveries in Weymouth has prompted dozens of residents to share similar experiences.
Many claim they have faced lengthy delays receiving important mail.
The letter, published by the Dorset Echo, was written by retired postal worker Nigel Rogers, who said he received post on just one day between August Bank Holiday and September 11 and described the service as "not working".
His comments sparked a wave of responses from readers across Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester, many of whom said they had encountered similar problems.
Several residents reported receiving no post for days at a time before multiple letters arrived together.
One reader from Southill said it had become normal to receive nothing for several days before a large batch of letters arrived at once, adding that the situation was "not good at all".
Others said they had experienced delays with time-sensitive correspondence, including utility bills, NHS appointments, magazines and financial documents.
A resident in Wyke Regis said important items regularly arrived several days late and claimed some magazines never turned up at all.
Another reader reported receiving a first-class NHS letter 11 days after it had been posted.
Concerns were not limited to Weymouth.

Readers in Dorchester and Portland also described irregular deliveries, with some claiming they were lucky to receive post only once a week.
One resident said they frequently received letters intended for completely different addresses, raising concerns about whether some of their own mail was being delivered elsewhere.
Several contributors suggested wider changes within Royal Mail could be affecting services, although these claims have not been independently verified.
One reader said they had been told Dorset was being used as a test area for a different delivery system, while others blamed staffing pressures and changes to postal rounds.
A number of residents also expressed frustration over the cost of stamps, arguing that the service no longer reflected the prices being paid.
The comments echoed concerns raised in Mr Rogers's original letter, in which he questioned whether postal services had deteriorated since privatisation and called for stamp prices to be reduced.
The Dorset Echo has approached Royal Mail for comment.
