Royal Mail is encouraging children to write letters to their favourite Three Lions players to show their support during the FIFA 2026 World Cup, as part of a new writing campaign designed to teach mini-football fans the value of writing letters.The UK postal service is urging children aged 4-17 to write letters wishing the teams and players well during the North American tournament in the hopes of inspiring a whole new generation to get involved in a way that feels forgotten in recent years.Royal Mail chief executive Alistair Cochrane said: “Sporting moments like this bring people together across the country, and we wanted to give children a simple and meaningful way to get involved.“Writing a letter is a personal way to show support, and we hope this campaign encourages young people to take part while highlighting the value of sending letters.”
Children across England and Scotland are encouraged to write in to their favourite players or the whole team.
