“This agreement between Royal Mail and the CWU is an important step forward after a long period of uncertainty and should help clear the way for the changes the service urgently needs.
“For too long, households and businesses have been left dealing with delays that even Royal Mail’s owner has described as unacceptable.
“Royal Mail is a vital public service with clear obligations. A year on from the takeover, those standards are still not being met. This agreement must now be the turning point.
“The task now is simple: put the new model into action, improve reliability, and rebuild trust with the public. We will be watching closely to ensure this deal delivers the better service that households deserve.”

So is that the final outcome no real comments on the outcome of their investigations?
If the PC thinks that reducing 2c mail deliveries to alternative days is now going to increase "reliability" then they must be deluded.
