The Morning Star is reporting revenue of 2.4 Billion. Walsh says the industry is broke. It's a multi-billion pound industry that pays some workers millions, putting them in the 1% of wealthy individuals. Ward and Walsh are amongst some of the wealthier workers in the country.
The industry intends to take steps to offset the extra costs, including “improved productivity through automation and reduction in discretionary spend". That means more pressure for workers.

What's Ward & Walsh's wages got to do with anything, if they stood down and were replaced or even the CWU itself replaced their replacements would still earn similar money, what they earn is irrelevant to our own jobs.tramssirhc wrote: ↑Today, 10:18The Morning Star is reporting revenue of 2.4 Billion.
