Is VR always based on seniority? Also is there an age where you're no longer eligible for VR?

As far as I'm aware VR has been based on seniority in RM up until now. But there is nothing in law that says it has to be.
Employers are able to use other criteria, such as disciplinary records, timekeeping and performance: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/work/ ... edundancy/

You need at least 2 years service to be considered for VR, I don't think there's an upper limit on length of service or age.
