Shorter Working Week....2019

Has anybody heard anything yet ?

everyone is going part time in October.

Its going to continue being implemented as far as I understand. Certainly local union reps still see the SWW as being a good thing. I haven't personally seen the implementation of the SWW working as intended so far.
A new development reared its head today which is being implemented nationally by RM if they can get away with it. I will do a separate post on this one tomorrow.

Sounds like higher up has got plenty of scope to cut loads of hours from your DO

Seems your office is stuck in a time warp. When was your last revision? Your honesty saying everyone finishes over an hr early every day? And you do lapsing as well? Jesus I want a transfer. I do 45 hrs to do my '38hr' duty, and don't hang around, although I do take breaks and come in on time, prep d2d in work time and always use a lwt.

We're still waiting for the SSW 2018.

Last revision was about 15 months ago. We can be out the door by about 08:30 and finish at 12:00-12:30 paid till 14:30

why don't we all just work 32/33 hours a week, everybody starts and finishes at the same time

Are you suggesting that those currently on 38 hour contracts should receive the same pay for a 33 hour week (A 12 - 13% pay rise?)
Or a large percentage of the workforce should take a heavy drop in their take home pay?

I can't see management agreeing to one or the union agreeing to the other.

Well they didn't do a very good job did they. You probably work in London or summut.
