I transferred to a new unit last November. Some duties have been advertised and I have appleid. I am more senior to some other people that have work in the unit. It states in the ad for the duties that should more than one person apply then seniority will decide. People are saying that because I have not been in my current duty for 12 months I will not be considered. Is this correct as I have never signed for a duty only transferred? Could someone let me know please? Thanks in advance.

If you transferred to this new unit on a transfer application that was successful but not as an advertised duty that was successful and as you have stated that you have not signed or any particular duty within the new unit then the 12 months would not apply as you have not participated in an internal resourcing and your seniority would remain as at time of transfer allowing you to apply for advertised/vacant duties that become available.the night caller wrote:I transferred to a new unit last November.
