theres lots of ans taken home at nights in delivery offices usually due to parking constraints as such posties have been asked if they want to take an home at night

Same in our office. Managers announce in WTL, and daily meetings that everyone has to come back to the office and sign out, and it's conduct code if they don't. They then proceed to tip the wink to their mates and others when it suits that they can go straight home when they've finished. Absolutely laughable.

It happens a lot in my office, but they don't finish early. I don't really worry about others, but it's a bit of a bummer when I, as a part timer, cover certain duties and have to drop off the full timer and go back to the office myself with all the bags, packets etc. A ten minute drive to the office and 15 mins doing P739's, putting bags away checking out PDA's and van keys means a 30 min clan for overtime, when the full timer claims nothing. Makes you wonder what would happen if I said I didn't want that overtime.
On my own duty I'm a passenger and always go back and help out with bags packets etc.

No, i just dont worry what everyone else is up to, i come in work at a comfortable pace and go home at my finish time. This way im not on here complaining about what everyone else does and have a stress free day - who"s a simpleton?????

Why not drop your partner off on the way back to the office? why does it take both people to put the stuff away,I can understand the fuss about taking other people's mail and stuff back to the office,but if some of you cannot stand the thought of partner getting home a few minutes in front of you why don't you do alternate weeks if you are both drivers.

what part of that dont people get
if you are finished earlier obviously your your are not working same hrs
and to the last comment what happens and who gets blame if something goes missing /wrong

some people who try to be clever and finish before time are only f***ing job up and when the s**t hits and it will dont come crying

TBH I don't understand why this is allowed to happen, everybody needs to return to the office, it really isn't fair for one person to do extra work while one is sitting at home. I know I wouldn't allow it to happen if they where my van share partner.

But they dug me out a couple of times when I just couldn't be arced

Some others I've left in the rain getting soggy for half hour cos they tried to be wide
