Claiming overtime whilst on re-hab
Does anyone know the rules for somenone who is on a re-hab plan (eg 50% of outdoor duty) and claims overtime if they go over their time. Is it allowed, has it happened to anyone ? Any help, cheers.

I think if you are on rehab you are not allowed to do overtime.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

if your on rehab, usually less hours than you usually do, then you can not book o/t.

Re: Claiming overtime whilst on re-hab
If you are on rehab - there is no way you should be exceeding the agreed plan - it is there to make sure you recover properly. If you are willing and able to do overtime then you should be back on full time !!!

Re: Claiming overtime whilst on re-hab
If you are on a rehab plan that is less than your contracted hours obviously you can't claim overtime.
If you are on a rehab plan that involves working your full contracted hours on light or amended duties if you work more than your contracted hours you have to be paid for them but you are not eligible for pre-scheduled overtime.
If you are on a rehab plan that specifies 50% of your outdoor delivery then that's all you should be doing, not from a claiming overtime point of view but from a sticking to the rehab plan point of view.
The obvious management conclusion would be if you are fit enough to do extended you're obviously fit enough to be doing more than 50% of your outdoor duty.

Re: Claiming overtime whilst on re-hab
So, how should this be handled, on a 75% outdoor plan, near the end of my time and I have roughly an hours work left which I complete in good faith. I then claim 1 hours overtime which is signed off by management and paid, this happens several times whilst on rehab. It is then questioned by management on the fourth occasion and a charge of claiming the previous overtime is made as they are now saying I'm not entitled to it. I may have been in the wrong but surely by them signing it off and paying it, they are at fault for allowing it to happen?

are you:
A working over your contracted hours ie in excess of 7hr48 per day and claiming OT(or over your part time hours and same)
or
B on rehab plan of 5 hours per day but on ft or pt contract with more hours, then working 6 and claiming 1 hr ot for the excess over 5 hours

B.......ft on a rehab of 6 hrs per day, instead of 06.30 until 14.30, was on 08.30 until 14.30 but worked an hour over three timeszx135 wrote:could you clarify something, makingsounds wrote:So, how should this be handled, on a 75% outdoor plan, near the end of my time and I have roughly an hours work left which I complete in good faith. Re: Claiming overtime whilst on re-hab
You can't be claiming overtime when you're working on a rehab plan that's less than your contracted hours.
You're already being paid 8hrs to work 6hrs...and to be honest you shouldn't be working 7hrs when your rehab plan says 6hrs because basically you're saying you're obviously fit to work...7hrs.
