I spoke to my area rep yesterday on the picket line and he told us that he had been told from a senior rep that we do not work a week in hand so we received a full weeks wages last week. Had the 48 hours took place on Mon-Tues we would have been stopped 2 days pay last week. Therefore they have told him they will take the full 4 days this week.

He is a good bloke and usually what he says is pretty accurate so i am sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear but thats what we were told yesterday. The one thing i dissagree with him though is them bas****s were always going to try and take the lot in one hit regardless of when the strikes took place.

I do agree with him when he says they are desperate men doing desperate things because they know support was still brilliant despite losing 4 days pay and laural and hardy were depending on us cracking. F**k them stay strong and lets win this thing.

Awaiting an answer from HQ.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Surely this effects our civil liberties, the basic right to strike. Is this legal?

If this happens it just is not on!
Can the top brass at CWU get involved on this and bring it to the medias attention asap?

SPITE SPITE SPITE
