is there a time limit on?
we not long had a revision in our office how long is it before you can swap duties with someone ?

Thats 12 months IIRC is for when you sign for a duty outside of a revision.dazzlin72 wrote:12 months.
Swapping a duty may or may not be possible, you would, I think have to have not just the agreement of the swappers and management. But what about the other OPGs, is anyone else interested in getting one of the duties, but was unable to because of lack of seniority. Not sure what the Union position would be on this it might be worth getting a ruling from an ADR.

We have had a situation recently where a staff applied and got a new duty within about 5 months of a general revision and repick... A lot of people are under the impression that because of seniority this individual can apply for another duty as soon as one comes up - that might be soon, after Christmas.
We are currently having a musical chairs of duties: 2 people have left and some have gone down and subsequently others are to be made up. We are assuming that we shall have like for like replacements...
Anyway, does a postie have to stay in a new post/walk (outside Revision) for 12 months before signing for another? And is this in writing somewhere?

Way Forward Agreement, page 30, section 14.9:
14.9 Employees taking up internally-advertised posts will be dedicated to them for a minimum of 12 months. No applications for job moves will be considered during that period, unless they are:
* for specialist posts;
* as a result of serious personal or domestic reasons, following discussions with local CWU representatives
