Leaflet for the public - they don't know anything

Post by opgpat »

Hello all fellow posties!!!
from reading website comments it is obvious that the public don't know the issues involved in this IA.
THey are told the strike is over 'modernisation' but what does that mean?

To the public it means WE ARE LAZY KNOBS LOOKING TO KEEP OUR CUSHY, HOME BY 9:30 JOBS WHICH HAVEN'T CHANGED SINCE THE 1920'S. They honestly think we got it easy!!!!!!!

Here's a leaflet which was OK'd by our union reps on picket line -

Gotta agree that I find most folk I talk to just ask what the pay offer is and know bugger all else about it! A nice idea...
Uploading....well try mediafire, rapidshare, megaupload? There's a few sites.

The new CWU flyers are good, more informative for the public. I reckon the union should've done a D2D before the IA begun
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

We still haven't recieved any. I delivered all the ones from the last round of strikes D2D round where I live.
Today on the picketline we had one stroppy rich bloke come up and started having a go at me saying his holiday was f***ed
because he hadn't recieved his airline tickets and they had cost him £1200. I told him my pension was f***ed and it would cost me £60,000. He f***ed off. :Very Happy

lol - f***ing great come back mate! :)
today we got 4 shouts of 'do some work' or 'w*****s' etc. almost everyone else was not interested or giving us unsympathetic stares. there is v little public support cause they don't know the issues but think it's all about lazy postmen wanting more money. We need to leaflet everyone we see and give them the facts. There's a leaflet which we handed out today with full rep support. it's uploaded if any one wants to use it / edit it etc feel free - GET THE MESSAGE THROUGH
