hi, can someone please help and advise me, i am new to being a cwu rep and for the past month or so i have been told that i am only allowed 30mins a week for resourcing and havent been allocated any other times for cwu work, i think that in the ir framework you are allowed so much time a day but i cannt find the parragragh i hope someone can help, thankyou.

Which area?

Have you been to Oxford yet, or have you asked your Branch to arrange for you to go on courses, Basic Union Skills 1 2 3 and then advanced Skills etc?

I'm not 100% sure but I think you are supposed to get 40mins-1 hr a day if your the shift Rep, I'm sure others will be able to confirm....?

The framework does not give an exact figure, things take as long as they take. Don't let the firm rush you into decisions. SEEK ADVICE if you need to.

There is no set time, otherwise a rep with 16 members would be getting the same release time as a rep with 100.
You need to negotiate your own release time.
Negotiating on your members behalf is what you are supposed to be doing as a rep.
If you can't manage it for your own release time, what hope for the rest of your responsibilities?
