Sorry if this somewhere on the forum but this is my first day on this site,I am from the Swindon Mail Centre opg,What is the feeling about WCM?

On a personal note - it started out as a good idea - improving H&S awareness and improving traffic flow etc. But it degenerated into a farce and started to treat people as idiots or small children (Telling people how to walk properly, instructing people by taped message how to use stairs, and pretty pictures showing 4 people pepping 1 duty)

Good in theory, ruined by Royal Mails man management style, and by people trying to avoid delivery work, which is a pity because some did actually want to work.

By traffic flow I mean planning when and where vehicles park between the DO car Park and the overnight storage (1 mile away). Also the planning of where the duties are indoors and where the IPS is in relation to the lift. (3 stories in our DO). Done properly thats where WCM should help, sticking up pretty pictures and indoor flow is of no use to anyone except managers with targets and attached bonuses.

Some of them appear to have put on a little weight drawing pictures for a living,there might be a fair bit of sweating and wheezing going on.
It might be wise to keep some first aiders handy Johnny.

First Aiders in our office never kept up the training another tactic to reduce head count!.

This is what I expected,in our office WCM layabouts walk about trying to tell us what to do,they wear managers jackets and scared to do any processing.I think it is a total waste of money and them people would be better off helping on the shop floor

No chance of them returning to work on floor they are too well embedded to wcm otherwise lazy c..ts and most of them could,nt give a f..k what union or asking them to do most of them from n/s in our m/c and getting n/s allowance for doing 9 to 5 so why would they care as I said lazy c..nts rant over

Surely thats fraud i know of one use to make tea and toast do a bit of window shopping.Got paid for 40 hours a week.Moved to M/C to do WCM.The duty this person did has suddenly dropped to 20 hrs a week.Very strange that RM have been paying them 40 hours for doing 20 hrs for past 8-10 years .I believe this person was very good at making statements up for DOM to back his conduct cases up .Corruption in RM never

Apparently they want to release me for 2 weeks for what they call WO(workplace organisation?). More like WC. Whatever it is no doubt it will be totally pointless so I'll continue to do what I'm doing.....delivering the post.
