In our office we were told this is the case, but there is a rumour going that Drivers' hours are 6 to 6 and that they should be allowed access to the office, surely this isnt right.
3 to 3 should be across the board, in my opinion, drivers should simply down tools at 3AM. If drivers are striking at a slightly different time, this weakens the whole strike. In any case, I would be appalled if drivers went across the picket lines.

I believe the national guidelines from CWU HQ say that any shift that starts before 3 am on Friday should be completed and any that start before 3am on Saturday should be the subject of a strike.

The last national strike drivers that were still finishing their shift whilst there was a picket line in operation, they stopped their van at the picket line and a manager drove the van in, therefore no driver was forced to cross a picket line, i presume this was arranged in advance.BlueJohn wrote:In our office we were told this is the case, but there is a rumour going that Drivers' hours are 6 to 6 and that they should be allowed access to the office, surely this isnt right.

Thats what a driver told me what he would be doing tomorrow at our place.I am hoping the majority of drivers stick to it.I cant wait to see the manager at our office try and back the van onto the stage.BlueJohn wrote: The last national strike drivers that were still finishing their shift whilst there was a picket line in operation, they stopped their van at the picket line and a manager drove the van in, therefore no driver was forced to cross a picket line, i presume this was arranged in advance.

We have also been told to let the drivers through and that they will not start their shift on Friday night so no mail in on Saturday morning if that is the case. I
can't see drivers wanting to cross the picket lines myself.
Good Luck to everyone on the picket lines tomorrow.
