nation wide petition, would it be allowed?

Post by postierg »

if every postman/woman took a petition paper with them on their deliveries and knocked on every door asking everybody if they would sign it would this be allowed by law?
mind the petition would have to include all the strings as well as the pay rise so that the customers can actually see what we are striking for, we could then send all petitions to cwu headquarters who in turn could pass them onto the goverment and :lfo :cfo so that they could see the public support/ or not, just a thought, or could this even contrivine the official secrets act?

Be careful if you or your colleagues take names or write them down, it could be used against you if any harrassment cases were brought. Royal Mail would not hesitate to say that you were planning to harrass colleagues that may go to work.
