Advice for saturday, after Strike

Post by tyconuk »

I think i have already seen this topic.
But thought it would be necessary too bring it up again!
If on Saturday Morning, There is mail in my frame, that has
been thrown in by managers on the Friday.
Can i refuse to take it?
I read something about the clear frame rule, stating that if
anything is thrown i on the friday that it should have gone on the friday,
so it would be wilful delay by the managers.
I HOPE ANYBODY UNDERSTANDS WHAT I MEAN!!!!!
Delivery:- delivery office near Stockport

Our rep advised us to take it, having said that, if it meant going over your time, then obviously you could consider pouching off, (our manager is not paying over-time on Sat). Here's a tip for you to remember, it's not wilful delay when managers hold the mail back, only when you do it! Having been in that situation, I'd say tread carefully, at this moment in time, the last thing you need is a conduct code triggered.Hope this helps Tyconuk.

Mail in your frame

Better still check it carefully before you deliver it, as managers are renown for being useless at prepping in our office. But give our DUM one thing he has said he wants to keep it as light as poss on sat, Ithink that is cos he has no intention of covering any cut-offs

Chances are they will stream it,but i very much doubt we will take it at our place.
I don't think they can force us to take it,national aggreements an all,but hey,you know what they're like.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

You don't think they'll make you take it because of a national agreement :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle are you going soft on us . . . . . I'm just waiting for the "all agreements are void because of this industrial action" speech from our DUM

i can't see either of our managers throwing any mail off as they wouldn't have a clue, they are both bricking it with them having to deliver the specials they just really haven't got a clue with regards to the local area
