A message to Management.

This fight is for us all….

Your colleagues have been forced to take strike action in defence of their jobs and the future of the postal industry.

Senior Royal Mail management are forcing unrealistic cuts on the workforce and now more than ever CWU and amicus members MUST stand together. You have received correspondence from your own union that attacks Royal Mails plans.

YOUR OWN Assistant General Secretary, Paul Talbot has stated: "Royal Mail must stop making any further redundancies and start paying attention to looking after the health of their hard pressed managers.

"The long hours culture within the Royal Mail is taking its toll and postal managers are reaching breaking point. Royal Mail are putting the health of their staff at risk and jeopardising the excellent service the Royal Mail gives to the public and British business.

As Royal Mail attack the CWU for not moving forward quickly enough YOUR union has dubbed Royal Mail "old--fashioned" and "stuck in the 1970s" with its offer to staff

The business is putting all of our pensions at threat and we are working to repel this threat jointly. Amicus and the CWU are working hand in hand to defend our pensions as Royal Mail look to make changes to the detriment of both sets of union members.

It is more than clear that YOUR union support the CWU in our fight to protect the future of the postal industry, our jobs and YOUR jobs. If this is not enough then you must realise that if the CWU do not win this dispute then it all but spells the end for YOUR grade.

Royal Mail wants to bring in thousands of team leaders nationwide. This would decimate the management grade. The CWU oppose this plan and therefore our stance is protecting YOUR jobs.

We know you face immense pressure in work everyday but you must be aware that it will only increase if Royal Mail is able to implement their 5 year business plan unchallenged.

Finally as fellow trade union members we are sure that crossing our picket lines leave you with a heavy heart. We must as responsible employees ask you to stop read our leaflet and take what we say on board. The CWU will win this dispute because the real passion for this business does not lie in the board room. It lies in every Mail Centre, Delivery Office, MDEC and Logistics depot in the country. Postal workers nationwide are today saying ‘enough is enough’. We now need more from our managers than off the record support. We need you to stand up and be counted.

You are all being led like sheep by Royal Mail to the edge of a cliff. Over that cliff lies pay freezes, job cuts, pensions threats and the decimation of the postal industry.

We thank you for reading this letter and we trust that you will make the right choice

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well done. Swindon always had a great reputation for militancy during the rail strikes. :Applause
The Industrial Workers of the World. The union whose members never scab!

"The working class and the employing class have nothing in common."
