this is the first time I have been involved in strike action myself. I am MDEC based and will be out in support of the Union on Friday. We need to make our presence felt and hopefully this will go a long way towards that end. The MDEC has been in the shadows for too long and we need to make people aware how important our role is and that we want to be heard too  :wave

Good on you ginger for taking part in strike action, it is quite daunting when you have never been on strike before. It is a shame other CWU members cannot join you, ( who i know are working ) I fear that have been influenced by non-union employees, whereas if I tried to influence employees I am sure I would be spoken to about my conduct.

Incidentaly which shift do you work on.?

I wonder if these CWu members working will consider their position later in the year if MDEC's are balloted if neccessary when the CWU open discussions to attempt to close the disparity of pay between yourselves and opg's, would be interesting to see.
