Have we still got a General secretary, 130,000 members of the union which he leads and he's nowhere to be found. He should be on the bloody tv and radio every chance he gets, defending us and bring the government to task.

From what i gather Croziers letter inviting the CWU to talks today said it was to explain the business position again so dont hold your breath.

Still lying low at the moment.
Com' on Billy let the public know what is going on get on the TV, Radio and in the papers and fight our corner. Without public support we are in for a long haul. I can tell the 400 or so people on my round but I can't tell millions like you can with a few TV appearences.

I THINK IT'S BEST THAT BILLY STAYS IN THE BACKGROUND. DAVE WARD AND THE NEGOTIATING TEAM ARE DOING A GOOD ENOUGH JOB. BILLY IS BRIEFED OF EVERY MOVE MADE. HE MAY ONLY GET INVOLVED IF LEIGHTON/CROZIER RUN CRYING TO GOVERNMENT.
