If I was Dave Ward, I'd show him my arse and say "Kiss this!"

It will look good on Laurel and Hardy when they say to the press on Friday "we were still trying to broker a deal thru acas right up until early this week but unfortunately the union just wouldn't listen" that's all I believe it's about, I can't believe anything meaningful will come of it.

I believe we should still be fully prepared for action

Only other possibility is the union may postpone the action whilst they consider what has been said and consult their members, but again with no real movement it's nothing more than a PR stunt.

For once however I hope I'm wrong, a solution would be good for us all :pray

and perhaps more importantly, why must we allways hear about these things thru the media, why is it the CWU can't tell us before going to the press.

I'm signed up to a newsletter direct from the CWU so surely it would be easy enough to send out that newsletter before running off to the BBC etc.

not good enough CWU :no no
