Industrial Action – Clarification

Post by POSTMAN »

1. That all Royal Mail Letters employees will take a 24 hour strike
on Friday 29th June for all shifts commencing after 3am up to and
including 3am on Saturday 30th June. This will cover all duties,
scheduled attendance and overtime.

2. That a series of strikes in POL Crown Offices will take place on
the following dates: Friday 29th June, between 06:00 and 12:00 and
Monday 2nd July between 06:00 and 12:00.

3. POL Supply Chain and Cash Centres will also take part in a 24
hour strike on Friday 29th June for all shifts commencing after 3am up
to and including 3am on Saturday 30th June. This will cover all duties,
scheduled attendance and overtime.

It was also agreed that Royal Mail and POL Supply Chain and POL Crown
Offices members will take further strike action within the next few
weeks. This will be done in a way that maximises disruption to postal,
counter and cash services over a number of days. The detail of this will
be discussed and agreed by the Postal Executive in due course and in
accordance with any legal notification required

ARGUS PAY BULLITIN

We are writing to clarify exactly what will happen on Friday 29th June if Royal Mail has still refused to enter negotiations.
As you will be aware by now the IA has been called for 3am – 3am.
In simple terms this will mean the following to you as members:

Early shift / Delivery staff – Strike action called for full shift on Friday

Late shift – Strike action called for full day on Friday

Night Shifts – Strike action called for full night on Friday night (full shift to be worked on Thursday night)

Please remember that it is the number one priority of the CWU to reach a negotiated settlement in this dispute and we have now given Royal Mail another week to come back around the table.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Late shift – Strike action called for full day on Friday
Can someone confirm the score with the above, there seems to be a bit of confusion with the 3am strike start and what the night guys have to do on a thursday night.

i THINK THEY'VE CALLED 3AM-3AM TO CURB ANY NIGHT SORTING IN DELIVERY OFFICES. IF THEY DID 12-12 THEN NIGHTS COULD COME ON DUTY AND PLAY CATCH UP. I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE DELIVERY BIAS.
WE MUST MAKE SURE TO DO THE JOB TO 318 ON SATURDAY MORNING THOUGH. BEEN AROUND THE D.O AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO ALL WEEK MAKING SURE PEOPLE START AT THE CORRECT TIME. ALL REPS SHOULD DO THIS.
