ATOS

Post by Suffolkpostie »

Hi all, ive got an inpending ATOS referral to determine whether i am to be IHRed or not.

Can anyone tell me whether i have the right to refuse to see a certain Doctor who seems to be in Royal Mail's pocket and see a doctor i feel comfortable with.

Thanks

You have rights but royalmail will only listen to their own (as you have said not in you interest) I wonder if a doctor who you pay for can accompany you (very expensive) but so is your livelihood but i doubt they will have your doctor it also depends on the problem is it work related or worse!. The most important thing is you and your health!. Good luck

Suffolkpostie,if you write to RM and complain that your not happy with the doctor they are going to use to assess you for IHR,expect a standard letter back of...Atos only use expert doctors who are better qualified to assess you than any other health care proffesionals as they have more knowledge of your job.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

best way is get onto the Branch , if you smell a rat with RM's usual underhand machinations , & there's grounds for suspicion you can appeal against RM and the union will get a proper panel together for you , not "incentivized" jobbing GP's .

Seen this prior to privatization , the union sent a open letter out saying anybody who had hearing problems due to noisy machinery were to take no notice of the firm's M.O.'s and get a second opinion , the union would settle the bill and put claims in .

The union might have heard of that fella and marked his cards .
