This is why I voted yes......Whats your excuse ?
Royal mail business plan over the next 5 years :
Take 9 F/T postmen , make the first 2 redundant ,make the next 6 part time, leaving 1 full time job out of 9.
On top of this give the postmen 2.5% (£8) increase, however remove night duty allowance, remove driving allowance, deliver 5 lots of door2door items but only get paid for 3 of them leaving the postie about £20-£30 p/w worse off.
Add in a further £350 Million in savings in the first year.
Add in a £400 - tax local bonus if targets are met.
Add in a £400 - tax national bonus if targets are met.
( but nobody know what the targets are )
Cover 20% of another delivery for FREE if someone is off sick / on holiday.
Less collections from boxes.
Mail to arrive another 2 hours later than now.
Fewer Post Offices for the public to use.
Fund Mr. crozier's £1 Million wage ( one of the highest paid civil servants ).
PENSION : RM took a 15 year cont. holiday but members still paid in every week - leaving a £3.3 Billion black hole (now members have to accept lower benifits / increased cont.)
All this for a basic of £252 take home pay
Thats why I backed industial action
ANNOUNCEMENT : ALL OF ROYAL MAIL'S EMPLOYMENT POLICIES (AGREEMENTS) AT A GLANCE (Updated 2021)... HERE

Feel Free.......
Please feel free to copy this post and put it into the public domane.....If we can get this sort of message over to the public then many of them will support us in our action.......most people dont have a clue as to what RM offer was......they just see "2.5% from RM" and "27% rise from the greedy postmen" in the media.....I try and tell all my customers that RM are giving £8 in one hand and taking £30 in the other.....all that before we've made any NEW savings on top of the efficencys that we've all had to put up with....( 400 hours out of my office recently - 10 less F//T jobs )

400 hour cut
cjp , we had a 400 hour cut in our office afew month's ago....with the promise of a bonus of " £200 - £300 "......Like suckers most people voted for it......months and months went by...still no bonus......then it came......£66 (minus tax / NI cont. ) came to about £48.
Now they want top make further savings in the office
You know that they say " you can't do enough for a good boss "
Now is just " YOU CAN'T DO ENOUGH " !!!!!!!!
