We are in disagreement with a collection revision, stage 2 now
we are under the impression that the earliest you can place the final collection with in a town is 4-15pm anybody help with that or is it wrong
also anybody got any agreements and how things are laid out with regard to collections, this would be great as i think we have a good case but you know what these lot are like, the route proposals are impossible to say the least, think you would need to be a rally driver to get there on time
anyway if anyone has any details about collections and how they are supposed to be set up they will be gratefully recieved

Not sure whether i've read you post right but,in London the last collection is 5-30 and some boxes are 6/6-30.
The USO states ONE COLLECTION a day must be done,and yes RM have taken liberties with it,we've had news reports of 9-30 last collection in some place,but that was a while back.

ye what i meant was about the 4-15 pm
that would be the earliest that the last collection could be in a town, hope that's better explained, they are on about moving the last collection in the town to 4pm, we just thought that it couldn't be before the 4-15 time
hope that makes sense, anyone got any agreements or stuff regarding what is required when setting collection runs up

We dont do ours anymore(only midday on Saturday)but when we did we used to design them ouselves by going out in a van and doing a run,the only way imho.Not to sure if management now have a tool they use(a drivers georoute) to plot collections.

That's ridiculous,how does that work with Post Offices ffs.they are on about moving the last collection in the town to 4pm
As for agreements,never heard of one,i just though it was the norm to have late-ish collections because of..............well,these annoying people we have to serve...................oh yeah that's it,they're called customers!!

seems that there is nothing laid down really
we are in the process of maybe loosing our collections to the HUB, which is over 45mins away and basically we are in the middle of nowhere
this despite the fact we have duties that are a combination duty walk, packets ,collection to ensure full time working!
the hub manager is an empire builder
get this, all our rurals used to empty the boxes and POs as they came back in there was a final collection as well though, we were told to stop this and they employed 3 vans to come from i remind you 45mins away to just empty the boxes outside the POs i do not kid!
also at xmas we have relief collections, the hub asked to share some of this work which they let them as all our staff are out on delivery, one of ours went out and at xmas got stuffed everywhere he went, but the hub had sent someone out to follow 10 mins later ! he got nothing, they were turning up at POs as part of there relief duty about 10 min after she opened!
you really can't make it up, in our delivery office all we get is cuts cuts cuts! but this guy at the hub can seemingly just throw hours at things!
