Cars on delivery
DM26 has just started and bosses are saying we can take our cars out on delivery to finish early so i can follow my partner out in my car then other guy drives back while i can go home, just checking whether this is ok or do i need insurance or should i be wary of bosses ,is this allowed under royal mail procedure.

Re: Cars on delivery
Very doubtful that it'd even be legal with normal car insurance, think you'd need at least business use at the very minimum for your car insurance.

Re: Cars on delivery
If your own vehicle is involved in any work related activity you need business insurance. Check your policy. Policies normally state that you are insured to and from your usual place of work. There will also be a mileage declaration.guardianangel wrote: ↑Today, 06:22DM26 has just started and bosses are saying we can take our cars out on delivery to finish early so i can follow my partner out in my car then other guy drives back while i can go home, just checking whether this is ok or do i need insurance or should i be wary of bosses ,is this allowed under royal mail procedure.

Re: Cars on delivery
Disregarding the fact that this is a ridiculous suggestion why would anyone in their right mind want to do anything that enables them to finish early and add fuel to the next round of cuts.
Oh wait our early starting mob are one example, despite being shafted by DM26 they still start early, skip breaks and race round.

It's possible that someone would need courier insurance as welltramssirhc wrote: ↑Today, 07:38If your own vehicle is involved in any work related activity you need business insurance.
