Does anyone know what a sick tracker is, how it's used and why?
Thanks

You would have to provide some context.
Are you referring to managers questioning a sick absence because they have noticed a pattern in the sick absences?
If the climate was a bank, they would already have saved it.

No, it's in relation to an email I seen in which a manger has asked the book room to put a sick tracker on, as leave was refused. I'm just wondering if its some kine of alert they put on system iif ones goes sick? Would this be normal practice?

You asked to book leave which was refused. They then make a note of those dates to see if you go sick.

That’s complete bullying and wouldn’t stand up in any conduct case , if you were to go sick having previously requested leave , how could they prove that it wasn’t completely coincidental.

When it comes to odd days off.
Get a mate to ask for the day off.
If he gets it just swap.
If he doesn't...

The op said they'd seen an email from management asking the book room to do that.

They do check your patterns.
Say you have a week off at the same time each year, for whatever reason, they will pull you up with the details.
So now, you know they know.

They can prove it easily because for the last x number of years, you have been sick on the same week.
I think with a stage 3 or tribunal, it will be pretty hard to defend.

Still can’t say if your Ill or not is my point only the timeframe

And any postman worth his salt knows their sick absences down to a tee

Does the latest attendance agreement not state that all sick absence will be treated as genuine?

Every attendance agreement has stated that all absences will be treated as genuine.
And they are. Until they are not.
