hi all
I've done 10 years service as a postman and decided to leave to try something else which didn't work out im now wanting to go back to royal mail and I've read that if you left for less than a six month period (i left for 4 months) then royal mail will reinstate me on my old contract with the same terms and conditions
can anyone please advise me on this ?
thanks very much

Re: CONTRACT QUESTION
Only if there were extenuating circumstances.
If the climate was a bank, they would already have saved it.

Re: CONTRACT QUESTION
I'm not a union rep but I can confirm the second you leave the building that's it end of.
(Iirc It's in the way forward agreement from 2000)
As someone else said if the circumstances were something like you had to leave to look after a dying relative that can be taken into consideration but it isn't the case here
Good news though you do keep the extra holiday entitlement built up.
