Getting rid of the CWU and the cronies in charge.
Is there any way we, as a collective, can get rid of this utterly shoddy pack of scumbags known as CWU and get all our subs swapped over to a decent union in one go?

Yes. Resolution to your branch calling for a vote of no confidence in the executive and postal executive. Get your numbers there because you've got a fight on your hands. They won't give in easy. You can win it though.

I doubt it.
We have been trying to get rid of you from this board but you keep popping up in different guises.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

CWU is a joke. Literal shills on RMchat attacking people on a personal level. Yet not one single, positive piece of information about the supposed fight for our T&Cs.
Utter clownshow of an outfit.
f***ing amateurs lol

And now a titled from the very system thats been attacking the working class for centuries. How much more proof do members need to understand that Ward is a sellout?

The lack of news from the ivory towers seems to me that as expected, Daniel Křetínský is playing hard ball now he has GLS.
He did not get where he is by being nice to his workforce and companies.
Does anybody know his record on previous engagements with european trade unions as sketchy at best when doing research?

I Suggest that allPEC members, Divisional Reps and Branch secretaries should spend a month back in the real world

When you have people on both the NEC and PEC, nothing will change.
There was a time when the PEC kept the NEC in check.
Now nothing more than a boys club of cronyism.

Best example I could find was his involvement with Thyssenkrupp Steel in Germany. Kretinsky took a 20% stake and the German union IG Metall wanted clarity on his plans. They sent a detailed three-page questionnaire and didn't get a response for over 3 months. That silence seriously undermined trust and confidence in him as a joint venture partner

In the UK, Kretinsky has engaged with the CWU and agreed to certain protections on jobs and pensions but that came after the takeover was under the microscope from regulators and MPs. Not goodwill but necessity.

He is not know for union friendly behaviour. At Thyssenkrupp his approach was evasive and elsewhere in Europe his strategy has consistently leaned towards asset-stripping, aggressive restructuring and cost cutting over dialogue with workers.
Success always leaves tracks and imho it is setting off alarm bells for us for the future....
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

You sense employing sufficient staff is going to be DK's problem if he doesn't substantially increase wages, rather than having to making staff redundant? Although what are the Government really going to do if he suggests there's too many posties is he really going to be told he keeps employing them to sit around and do nothing?
