The key word from below is 'try'.....

From LTB 102/25:
RMG and the CWU are both committed to reaching a full agreement on Pay, the equalisation
pathway for new entrants, and the other parts of Section 5, which are part of the EP
agreement.

Both parties recognise that progress has been made and that further time is needed to reach
a full agreement. Negotiations will, therefore, continue over the next two weeks to try to
reach an agreement before 30 May 2025.

Endlessly kicking the can further and further down the road. I wonder if Dave and Martin know the game is up now, since the takeover and are squeeking out another 10 or 20K in wages to help cover their avocado toast bills?

I remember the "a fair day's pay for a fair days work" we are now staring down the barrel of becoming a minimum wage job. But also expected to destroy ourselves for the meger wage. This cannot go on! If after all this talking the union can only produce a payrise that shadows inflation and then have the cheek to add we need to do more to earn the same as last year. Then I think we all need to ask ourselves if the cwu is still relevant anymore?

Absolute joke every other company get a pay rise when due,not rm or ids, inflation is 3.5 so get ur fingers out n do the job ur paid to do cwu,and not a three year deal to shaft us again, above inflation 3.5 and 1 year n work on next year

Maybe they have,nt agreed yet?? Negotations can go on for longer than we would like.but at end of day we will get a vote to either accept or reject.an quite a few will say reject even tho they will not get a say as their not in union but will still moan like f--k.

Yet another vague promise that was not met. More vague promises about it being sorted soon apparently. Martin Walsh likes to hang around this forum on the weekend so maybe he'll pop in to put us all straight.
