There is no overtime ban. However budgets are budgets. What's happened? The CWU rep failing to share the overtime out?

Be interesting to see at that point how many posties will be left and how many people try to find another service for their letters.

1st class will hardly exist, this time next yr a 1st class stamp will be £2+, people won’t pay it.
15-17000 job losses within a yr.
In 5 years when agreement with CWU ends(if he honours it) franchises will begin, Distribution/Voc will be sold off.
By that time half the buildings will have been sold & he will be begging Gov to change USO cos company is still broke!

Yup, it's as obvious as a hole in the head so I can't understand why the people supposedly in charge can't see it

Fortunately, I don't need to rely on overtime.

However, last week I was working with a part-timer who said she was annoyed that she doesn't get to start early every day like some of the other part-timers. She asked me whether seniority was a factor as she has worked for the company much longer than some of these staff.

I said to her that regardless of what was put on the indoor work plan she should come in to work early and book her hours down for prep or IPS. Then if they didn't pay her she would need to ring up HR and log a grievance in. Overtime should always be fairly allocated for those people that want it.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

The OT ban has ended in my office, people now working their day off, and management aaking people to complete their deliveries and paying OT if they go over ther finish time.

Would be very interested to hear from the Heirarchy why they are deliberately sinking the organisation. Even if it's for their own financial benefit surely it's short sighted

If your own DO has an overtime ban, what about seeing if a nearby DO has any slots for OT. if you live close enough to the MC, maybe see if they've got any slots for OT
