Average pay whilst on annual leave qualifying periods jan 2025 onwards?

Post by sardonicus »

Does anyone know the qualifying periods for average holiday pay for 2025?

Are the dates published anywhere? A link to it maybe?

I'm looking for jan 25 period and onwards.

This stems from not receiving average holiday pay whilst on A/L in Jan 2025, despite doing well more than the 8 hours o/t required, and still having accessible hours left after my last A/L

It would be good to know these qualifying periods as my A/L at the end of Jan has been assessed up to period 29 Dec 24, yet there has been a 28 day period after this in which I did over 8 hrs o/t

Thanks in advance

it shows your pass & fail months on the holiday pay on the app
how many weeks before your latest leave have you taken?
you only get an average on the 1st 4 weeks

Hi

Thanks for your help..

It's all made really complicated as I'm a part timer 23.5 float.

So give up reading anytime lol

After My last a/l the app said I have 8.94 pt hp hours left that remained eligible for pt overtime holiday pay assessment.

I had a 'fail' in July, for reasons I won't go into but just assume I got shafted.

The next 5 qualifying periods I got a pass.

The last qualifying period for average holiday pay the app has used ended 29/12/24.

My a/l was at the 28 Jan 25, and another qualifying period, ie jan 25 has not been considered or mentioned,

I worked plenty o/t in Jan and the next 28 day period would have ended 26/1/25

The app was adjusted when my leave on the 28 Jan started removing the elegible 8.94 hours that it had said prior to this leave could be considered for holiday pay.

Even if the qualifying period was a week longer in Jan, as has been suggested, I still did the qualifying o/t?

HELP!!! 😆

The January qualifying period was 5 weeks: weeks commencing:-
30/12/24, 6/1/25, 13/1/25, 20/1/25, 27/1/25.
It is on this site somewhere and i remember making a note of it.
February is only 4 weeks.

Thank you for your help, it's much appreciated.

It would be nice if there was a link on this site to an official RM page stating the qualifying periods, so that people know the dates are official.

It would also be nice if the reps in DO's published these qualifying dates on a noticeboard! Won't hold my breath there!

I lost 3 weeks average holiday pay on A/L, approx £630 as I only achieved 7 hours o/t one month in the summer when a stand in manager took an instant dislike to me and gave me no overtime for nearly 4 weeks!
The 7 hours was achieved the day after my manager came back off sick leave, unknown at the time it was the last qualifying day -it wasn't for another month when I was on A/L and recieved no average holiday pay that the app told me of the 'fail'.
I had to start again and in so lost a total of 3 weeks av holiday pay, I normally do at least 60 hrs a month

Disgusting agreement

Thanks again

Seeing as you've been with RM a few years (legacy contract it seems) and you always seem to do (a lot of) O/T, I'd be asking for a contract review.
Doesn't necessarily mean you'd get the hours (seniority and all that) but at least ask.
