Collection Supplement

Does anyone know if anything came of the disagreement the union lodged regarding the reduction of the supplement for collection staff or was it brushed under the carpet for an easy life by union officials.

We were told we were never due it so they were being nice by not asking us to repay the years of overpayment ; we disagreed with this as we were told we were due it , attached to a DO etc , by a previous DOM and we put in a disagreement via RM and through ACAS . This resulted in them giving us a one off payment of 4 weeks Delivery Supplement and a letter saying this was the end of the matter and basically we should be happy with this resolution. We weren't happy but it was the end of the matter despite our regional Rep occasionally saying we might get it back.

We have people who do part packets and part collection hybrid duties who get the full supliment whereas others who only do collections don't . Seems like a 2 tier workforce, well actually 3 as newbies are on different contracts altogether despite all working in the same office
