NI No1 Branch - They haven’t gone away you know!

Northern Ireland No. 1 Branch ex-branch committee is due to meet in a few days. This Branch Committee were stood down over a year ago and as such no person holds any branch position. However, The Administrator has selected and summoned a number of hand picked, former branch officials to a clandestine meeting (thus far without the knowledge of the membership). These same Branch activists are the ones who were stood down by the Executive Council based on advice and or information given by the certain CWU senior personnel.

What’s changed? Well as far as I can see, the former problem makers have gone through a Dignity & Respect Course. Will that stop those targeting Protestant activists or indeed anyone who gets in the way of their personal agenda? It seems to me that these people were the problem and in my opinion, any Organisation such as CWU should have removed them from office completely for a term not less than 10 years. But not this union, this union brings them back together and sets them up for office again, complete madness!

Getting back to the Dignity & Respect course, these people should have known well before the Dignity & Respect Training that’s it’s wrong to threaten or target anyone who doesn’t share the same agenda or beliefs as themselves, especially using Paramilitary activists to further their cause. Are they fit to resume Union Posts? In my opinion, NO!

Unbelievably, it seems that on the face of it, the only real change is that the Branch has less protestants activists looking to stand for office, why is that? Questions are not being answered, more are being asked.
