I signed with Royal Mail last year on a 30hr contract
There is nothing in the contract regarding a commitment to a number of Saturdays that need to be worked.
When i applied , my discussions with the recruiter I was assured by her that i would only be working an occasional Saturday.
Obviously that is not true , im lucky to get 1 Saturday off in 6.
I recently saw an advert for Royal Mail job on Instagram which also implied that Saturday's were not the norm.

Sounds to me like the recruiter was a bit economical with the truth, currently on the Royal Mail jobs website postie jobs are described as requiring sat+sun working every week, I think prior to that it said something like working 5 days out of 6.

Saturdays are a normal working day, which the vast majority are expected to work most of.

Few reserves in mine hardly get Saturdays off - that’s before the new contracts
Call their bluff Just tell them you want your fair share of Saturdays off or you’ll leave

The CWU only agreed that Saturday's off was 'aspirational'. The CWU agrees the rotas so ask them why you're not getting Saturdays off.
