Just expecting last person back to lock up.

Surely a managers job? What if theres an accident and nobody at the office to deal with it?

Normally be a "Person in Charge grade" (PIC) Who receive a supervisory grade allowance. In delivery offices, probably the locker staff that handles afternoon collections.

As for accidents, the lone worker risk assessment takes care of that.

If you are not trained in the correct procedure, or paid for the extra responsibility, would respectfully decline that responsibility.
Who sets the alarms and has their own unique keypad code for a start?

Gates left open, lights left on, managers gone by 3pm I guess, anything happens isn't our fault so just shut doors and walk away. Usually got someone local who's a key holder to shut things and set alarms etc. Vans could be damaged, parcels could be stolen, but it's more important to get you sorting to speed ! Typical RM pettiness I'm afraid.
