RMCtv : Notification of accidents to Area Safety Reps

Notification of accidents to Area Safety Reps

Please remember to send ERICA Part 1 to your local CWU Area Safety Rep following an incident. The CWU have advised that there are gaps in some areas and unfortunately reps aren’t being notified.

This is a requirement of our accident reporting standards and should normally be done within 24 hours to ensure that reps are consulted and engaged in a timely manner.

See SHE Instruction 10.2 Accident Reporting for further details HERE...
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I had a fall before Christmas on duty and ended up with fractured vertebrae, 6 months off work just went back and was told I am a liar by the manager, despite all relevant cert hospital proof, etc, never reported it to the manager as was the day before last 2 strike days and then Christmas, reported as soon as I could in 6 months no one told me they never believed me, the manager told me he would investigate at the time now says he was told not to by higher managers, having trouble with Optima plan implementation and stopped wages earlier than they should what do I do, how can you realistically have any faith in these liars

Report it to your manager within 24 hours with all supporting evidence, photo's and witnesses, and go and see your own solicitor dont rely on in house bureaucracy, years ago they tried saying i was lying but i sent in my evidence seen my own solicitor and hey presto payout and managers reprimanded for not doing their job.
