I believe True Blue Terrier answered this around a week ago. It is an open forum but Postman decides what stays and what goes. I've noticed this myself - things vanish inexplicably but I've gotten used to it now.

Some of this NI stuff has got out of hand and for legal reasons on my side and the NI guys side as well there is a limit to what can be said on here.

Listen guys this is a very emotive subject and one that this being widely debated in NI and at CWU HQ...........Despite the 'hot' nature of the topic we must remember the site rules etc because there are people just lurking and waiting to use the law to close this site down.

The NI branch has a fighting fund i understand and anyone can contribute to that if they like. I don't think putting letters from the GS on here is the best way of winning your point. At the end of the day NI members are saying one thing and CWU HQ are saying another. It makes for a real clash but i'm sure if everyone tried their best we could still maintain an element of Dignity and respect................ and help to protect the site for ALL MEMBERS

A lot has been said since this 1st came on here,names have been mentioned and accusations thrown about.
In all fairness some of the stuff posted shouldn't of been allowed to stay on and that's my fault.
Although i have now deleted some threads.
This is serious stuff,for the branch,HQ AND the site.

For legal reasons we have to be carefull what is on this site,RM and the CWU HQ are on here as well.
Plus the NI guys are taking legal action,and if the CWU legal boys get hold of some of the stuff posted (which they probably already have) then it's not going to help your cause.

You're more than welcome to give us updates the latest info and like lovejoy says debate it all,but name calling ,accuactions and serious slagging off is going to get us all in trouble.

Save it for your day in court.

There was an article over the road in their talkback section which a few hours after it was put up disappeared again and i'm gutted i did not have the time to copy/paste it.
I did contact them about it and asked for them to send me the article but i guess my email got lost in cyber space.

For the record it called me a dictator and that i deleted many threads that were anti union.
You are now quite welcome to look through the board and see how many 'anti union' threads there are on here and the slagging off of the union/hayes/ward /pec and any tom,dick or harry connected to the union the see that it's NOT the case.
I'm in the union and i support some of their decisions but not all of them,and i'm certainly not in bed with them.

I move a lot of threads,we have many forums and the idea being that those who want info or to talk on specific subjects can go to the relevant forum.
It's no good talking about the pension in 'blue shirts' when there is a dedicated forum for it just the same as the 'pay and mod' deal would/should be discussed in its own forum ect ect.

I DO NOT decide what stays and what goes 99.99999% of the time,i DO NOT delete or tell my MODS to delete anything that i do not agree with,there are a lot of hairy threads on here,if anything at times we've been too lax.
If i don't agree with something in a thread or a thread itself i do what you guys do and i post my views in it.
It's not for me or the MODS to decide what topics you start.

You can post pratically anything you want,which i'm sure you guys are aware off,but there has been the odd thread which had to go like the NI guys threads as explained to marky above,and again the odd thread where some of you post like you're in a fecking bar fight.

I now hope i have cleared some of this crap up.

One last thing which i will admit to,over the road,they like to slag us/me/you guys off,and i have deleted from memory about 2 of their articles form here within the last month or so that had not been replied to.
If they had been replied to i would of left them,but i'm not giving them 'hits' off our backs.

I think we all recognise how difficult it can be do to this job Postman but it might make it easier if there was an area that shows why threads have been moved/edited/closed/deleted - lots of forums do that. That way these questions don't arise. This morning I was reading one thread, might have been news, can't remember now, but I went to another thread, clicked back and the other had gone altogether. Its confusing if people don't know where things have been moved to or where they went or why.

It is refreshing to have a Site like this, where there is so much freedom of speech. Not many Sites would allow a lot of the debates which have happened on here, as they can get so heated. I can see that it would be frustrating for those people who have comments or topics removed. But it is done for a reason.

Dazzamfc, try taking a few deep breaths before Posting your comments. It's really hard at times, and none of us is perfect. But you're far less likley to fall foul of the rules if you don't Post while you're still angry.

There's no point in criticizing Postman for protecting you, and this Site from Legal Action. If he didn't, we probably wouldn't have RMC, which is (as far as I know) the last remaining Forum for Royal Mail Staff left in Britain!

I'm always open to ideas,criticism and anything that could make this forum better,the moving of the threads i used to post 'Moved to News' ect but the last lot i moved i did not have the time to post in them,so fair enough i'll do my best to make sure i do and i'm sure the MODS will make a mental note about it as well.

The deleting of threads are few and far between,and as i've said i don't do it willy nilly,we have a 'Bin Forum' where deleted threads go and trust me you don't wanna go in there or for it to be made public.Not a very nice place.

Obviously i've explained other bits in my last post.

In both cases the posts were abusive to members and added nothing to the thread they were on. The 2 posts were along the lines of.
