how to calculate part time holiday entitlement

Post by sardonicus »

Hello

I am on a 23hr 30min contract over 3 days covering 3 walks

can someone tell me how to calculate my holiday entitlement?

I have been with rm approx 5years six months at start of april, do i now get an extra day too.

and do i get 5 bank holidays?

every year this comes up, never seems right.

how many days annual leave am i entitled to, and if im on 23hrs 30 mins over 3 days do i get average hrs over 3 days, ie 7hrs 50minsper day as a standard calculation, and same for bank holidays?

thanks in advance

The annual leave will remain unchanged you'll get the

(After 5 years = Four weeks 3.5 days)

so 3 days per week - plus 1.5 days (1/2 of 3 days) = 13.5 days

Now they do it by hours so your total annual leave is 105.75 hours

On Public Holidays as they are 8 per year (on average) and you work 3 days out of 5 it would mean you are entitled to 5 PH per year.

TBT. I can understand A/L at 4 & half weeks = 22.5 days would calculate for someone on a 3 day week as 13.5 days.
But what about the extra day after 5 years ie 23.5 days.
