Pay award and back pay for leaver

Post by Tunahowmad »

Hi
I retire from Royal Mail on 6 February 2021

ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT

I do receive the lump sum ill health payment with pay in lieu of notice

Result of ballot today wed 3 February
Would i receive the pay award arrears from April 2020 up to my leaving date 6 February 2021 as i have read payment will be 26 february so after my actual leaving date
Due to my medical condition i am no longer at my workplace but have been on full sick pay for some months up to my finish date 6 February 2021
Thanks for any assistance if anyone here would know
Manager at workplace has been helpful but stated she did not know and as i my leaving date is soon i think her mind is elsewhere due to pressure of work

If the pay deal is backdated from April WHY WOULDNT YOU BE ENTITLED TO IT?
I left in November and expect to be paid from April till I left, I doubt it will be much

It won't be anything.
You have to be employed on the 18th December.

You might be morally entitled to it, but that's the deal that CWU and RM came to......nuff said.

I have been informed by HR that i will receive pay award arrears from April 2020 to my leaving date of 6 february 2021.

26 February or early March as leavers arrears will be calculated after staff in service Thanks for replies
