P/Timers transferring to temporary 35hr contracts for xmas pressure

Hi,anyone know much about this? I heard it was available to p/t workers who have been regularly working full time hours.Approached Dom 2 weeks ago and he said it was starting 1st week December and I would be on it ,4 wks. Checked this morning and he said not starting till next week and 3 weeks.seems to be dragging the heels. Hardly seems worth it for 3 weeks .Any experience of this?

This was offered to us at our office but the extra hours were on the back end so you would finish at say 4.30 or 5.
Given that we are all working full time now with early starts to prep it really didn’t seem worth it. Don’t think there were many takers.

We have some partimers in our office who are made up to full time for the 4 weeks prior to Christmas (starting this week),as it means they are also entitled to the full Xmas bonus. Think you have to complete the full period without time off to be eligible.

any one part timers or not has the chance to "fill their boots" in OT at this time of year, you`re probably better off not being given it on a set schedule and you can instead pick up cut offs or excess packets on your own terms.

Pretty much the only benefit to this is that you get the F/T Xmas bonus - £100 pre-tax (even then you only have to do two weeks
F/T during the qualifying period to get it). You say you are working F/T hours anyway.

2. Part Time Employees.
Part time employees (35 hour Full-Time) are entitled to the Christmas supplement on a pro rata basis. They will receive the payment pro-rata to a full-time week according to their contracted hours on the date payment is made. Part-time (and 35 hour Full-Time) employees that vary their contractual hours and work full-time under code XPTFT for a two-week period during the Christmas pressure period (between Monday 23rd November 2020 and Sunday 20th December 2020) will be paid the Christmas Supplement in full. Note that overtime or scheduled attendance hours DO NOT contribute towards payment calculation.

But I'd check with your manager just to make sure......

I think it depends what was agreed. The terms for getting the full time bonus are just the terms for getting the full time bonus (2 weeks between the dates quoted above), but I (and others at my DO) was specifically asked to go FT up to Christmas (which includes Christmas week).
