Haha I think we all are. Pretty sure Dave Ward said last week there would be an update either late last week or early this week. Yet here we are none the wiser. It’s a bit worrying I must say.

It's very quiet, maybe Terry is busy ringing members up like he stated he'd be happy to ring up disillusioned members

Nun one to nun two - Where's the candle?
Nun two to nun one- yes it does doesn't it.

The old jokes are the best.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Are candle jokes now the new fish factory jokes

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

the last time a pay deal dragged on, and it was this ''quiet'' and this ''long'' they came back with the ''deal of the century''. :pray

Tell you what I wouldn't want to try and pick my way through the future RM and the CWU face. Trying to keep full time employment and earnings with a falling workload, letters not packets. It is likely that we will have to change the way we work. Maybe the introduction of lates to deliver packets and larger parcels. Don't know what the future holds for CWU members but I bet it will be different to what we have known in the past.Remember back a few week when RM held this union in complete contempt at least we are now back in the room for talks again. You never know non disclosure may be a condition of the talks.I am happy for the silence as long as there is an agreement in the end that we can all work with. I don't think the CWU has let its members down in the past when it matters and I don't think it will this time. We just need to have faith in the union leaders in what is very difficult times for one reason or another.

Apart from stuff originating abroad I can see RM ramping up the adding of 2D barcodes on packets
