Reduced hrs from doctor

Post by Mazz thematic »

Hi all
Short story had a medical problem that required surgery now back at work for 5 months but still having some problems.my doctor has recommended that I reduce my working hrs to help with the recovery and has given me a fit note for reduced hrs for 6 hrs a day.as it’s been 5 months is it still classed as a ongoing issue and also will I still get payed for my full shift.
Thanks in advance

Had something similar, was on ‘light duties’ for 6 months between operations. I worked just over half of my contracted hours each week and was paid my full amount. Only had sick pay for a couple of weeks after each operation. DOM was fine with it, and he’s usually “not very nice”. Might be an idea to ask your DOM to refer you to OH.
