because of social distancing and excess parcels our office is running a night shift are any other delivery offices doing this we would struggle to get out on time without it

We were, and even with 3 staff on we struggled to keep up and to clear on a daily basis. Therefore, in his wisdom, our DOM has decided that as he is over budget, he has scrapped the nights and redeployed staff onto delivery. So we can now lapse as well.
