If you take your break out on your round what are you allowed to do in that time, within reason?
Can you drive 5 minutes away to grab a Mcdonald's drive through?
Can you drive a few minutes, park up in town, wander around the shops, run an errand?
Drive 10 minutes to your house to warm up and eat last nights leftover lasagne?
or are you only really meant to sit in the van eating a packed lunch?

You would have to eat the lasagne cold as you wouldn't have time to heat it through thoroughly and underheated lasagne would pose a serious health risk.
Going home is not a good idea anyway because it looks sus. If something goes missing you are going to have the IB trawling through your sock drawer. And who wants that?
Going off piste isn't a good idea either because they are paying for the fuel. Theft of fuel they will call it if they decide to conduct you.
So why have an outdoor break? They are more trouble than they are worth. Especially for trolley duties when there is no shelter from the elements.
Either take the full break prior to delivery or split it half before departure and half at the end.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Going to the toilet is NOT part of your break either, even if that means going off your duty.
Supermarkets are usually a good place for breaks, if you're near one within reason.

Breaks should already be built into your duty....years ago, and updated with each revision.
Toilet stops should already be built into your duty....years ago, and updated with each revision.
Lasagna (personal decision) should not be left for the next day, if it isn't eaten on the day it's cooked it's probably crap and should be binned.
No one in the business should ever ask these questions outside of standing by their frame in the morning, or at the dinner table in the evening.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
