This is true as under the way forward i think it was duties with allowances can not be signed for in a resign unless the duty holder wants to come off by there own choice, something to do with pay protection. If there job was lost through an office revision then they would keep that allowance for 3 years. We have it at my office, its called Ringfence and also affects our ex P.H.G. duties and our drivers. Our night jobs were the same ,but we give them up in our last revision for a 4 day week. The night guys got to keep there allowance (£65) for 3 years.

if you are planning a resign make sure no duties are advertised as duties picked are for a minimum 12 months, so these should not be included. family friendly duties are ringfenced. mtsf protects pay protected duties. bookroom, callers office and any duty attracting "A" allowance are all ringfenced in a resign.
jobshare duties need not be included in a resign, any duty that has not significantly changed(25%) is excluded from resigns.
the worst scenario for a cwu rep is to be accused of discrimination so if planning to embark on a resign i would advise becoming very aware of all agreements and legislation.

Belive the 25% rule is for the amount of dutys that have changed before you can persue a resign. So long as you hit that they should not withold your rights to a resign the only exemptions are jobs that the duty structure has not changed ie : firms type jobs that still require a 5pm start and others that are 'ringfenced'

Well if you are senior enough you'll get it - if you are not you won't. Many offices are long overdue a resign where duties have been handed out without due regard to seniority and that needs to be rectified. Liking a duty is not a reason for it not to be in the pot.madelin4 wrote:What if you don't want to re-sign for another duty? i wud not want to re-sign i like my walk
