Miscarriage

Post by lukew »

My mrs yesterday lost our baby I need a couple of days off to be at the hospital as she now needs an op. How do I stand with this ? As it’s so short notice, can I use special leave or holiday to cover me rather than go sick ?

In these circumstances Special Leave should be given, - although fair warning its not an entitlement but it would be a nasty boss that didn't give it you.

Condolences to you and yours.
