Complaint against manager

Who do you actually see to complain about your manager? It seems to be an ongoing problem with this guy in charge about three or four people in our office offered up with them people are asking for holidays and being told they can’t have it the new holiday forms are mucked up and he is claiming that he hasn’t got time to sort it out! One guy is owed four days from last year and another six from this year but the system says he hasn’t got any holiday left he has asked for time off and the guy just says it can’t be done!He is also not letting people have their breaks and not claim overtime when they are clearly finish in 30 to 40 minutes late most days , He also let’s full time is finishing at between 12 and 1 o’clock every day at least one hour before their time when you complain he just says that’s the way it is nothing is getting done and he seems to look after his favourites we do not have a union rep and very limited union representation nothing is getting done regarding holidays and changing of walks so what is our next step

you need strength in numbers, which if like my d/o may be tough as most staff are quite happy to bolt like usain on average days then take protest breaks once a month thinking they've won, the next day the canteen is nearly empty again, we are our own worst enemies at times
as ccr said above, contact area rep, but also try to get several more to do the same without acting too militant as your dom sounds a tool

In times like this one can make a difference talk to your area rep and become your office rep it is not an easy task as some say on here but a man/woman with voice for all is a calling for the brave and hardy and you sound just like that!

Yes maybe you are right! He really annoys me with his lack of interest in helping staff, he has a couple of favs and the rest he couldn’t care less about, he talks a good game but actually does nothing! People are fed up with no action and looking after a certain few, I mean it makes no sense that full timesas finishing before part-timers and getting paid less and and bigger walks! Also he won’t let people book a single day off like a Saturday. Then others go sick with bad back etc and they come back on overtime straight away!
