Breakfast bar in DO

In my delivery office we have about 150 postmen/postwomen and for the 40 hour contract men/women we have to take our 20 min break @ 8.50 to 9.10 ive been told that we dont meet the criteria to have a breakfast bar. all we have is 3 vending machines 1 coke 1 coffee and 1 full of junk i.e chocolate and crisps
is there any other DO in our same situation

whats the criteria for BREAKFAST BAR? :cuppa

Same here mate, that is all the machines we have at our office of around the same number of staff!!!! Its not very good for our health! All the crap of the day in those machines give us short burst energy then after that we struggle!!! Best thing to do is just bring a packed brekfast banana etc. We do have a toaster in our place but if everyone wanted toast it would be a fight!! So yea im with ya on the breakfast bar but only in dream land !!!

Our delivery office (about 100 staff) still has a canteen. Of this 100 people there are only about 70-75 in each day. I think that RM are actively looking to close as many of these as possible.

Ajnd yet where i am we have a canteen only 80 staff and only a hand full use it. They just dont know how luck they are? Cause they are so into the job and finish they are all like geyhound out the trap each morning.

Strange that we also have 1 vending machine for chocolate and crisps, 1 for soft drinks, and 2 for coffee - coffee is 30p a cup and nothing in the snack line under 40p there's about 150 of us too.

We have 1 sweets/crisps vending machine (usually empty), 1 tea/coffee machine (again usually empty) and 1 coke machine (since they put the price up nobody uses it).
I'm preparing myself for the zombie invasion, rule number 1 - Cardio

Ahrr the caffeine makes you go quick diet and then you must run a round to find a toilet i bet the management dont have to put up with this crap!. :shock: :sad:

We have a self messing canteen run by a postman,open 05.30-06.00 for tea and coffee,then again between 07.30-09.00 for breakfast which has a very good choice of grub :Very Happy Management are after it though and want to replace with what alot of you guys have :shock: :sad: :mad

That's similar to us. We have a Quadrant canteen but so few people use it
(because they dont take a proper break in order to get out earlier, and therefore get back earlier)
that we are in danger of losing it altogether. It not being justifiable on financial grounds.

Canteen,gets used a lot tbh,we're coffee freaks down our way,word is the machine takes more cash than the food they sell. :crazy:
Lucky that the last chef and now our new one are goodens,he's now experimenting with cornish pasties and pies and other bits and bobs.
