Sick note
I have just received a letter asking me to attend a meeting tomorrow with the Dom, to discuss ways to help me get back to work, I have been off 20 days and my sick note ends on 26th and I intend to return to work on the 26th. Do I have to attend this meeting tomorrow or can I just inform them I will be returning and have this discussion then ?

Way I would go about this is if you cannot attend state your reasons some of this could relate to the nature of absence or the fact it would be impossible by transport or other factors the thing is you have to keep them up to date, If you can do that before they send you letters with untimely appointments at a moments notice would help them and you.Gerrard77 wrote:I have just received a letter asking me to attend a meeting tomorrow with the Dom, to discuss ways to help me get back to work, I have been off 20 days and my sick note ends on 26th and I intend to return to work on the 26th. depends also on the reason for your sick note, if you have a broken arm, but can manage to get about fine otherwise then i think youd be expected to attend. If you were off sick with something thats keeping you bed ridden or infectious then, of course you shouldnt attend. Common sense should prevail.
